Aurora Mullett, with 26 years in the industry spanning underwriting, claims, and sales, Aurora brings a well-rounded perspective and deep expertise to the insurance space. She is passionate about serving as a community-based leader, focusing on education and consultation to help clients navigate an increasingly complex risk environment.
 
Aurora founded her first agency, Intrinsic Insurance, in 2014. The agency specialized in niche markets, focusing on hard-to-place risks, including garage operations and classic/collector vehicles.
 
She has also been involved with Sky Insurance, Biner Insurance, and Trucordia.
Beyond agency operations, Aurora is actively engaged on the legislative side of the wildfire crisis impacting many western states.
 
She collaborates with local political representatives and grassroots organizations, serving as a liaison between insurance carriers and government entities. Her work and insights have been featured in major publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Proforma, and others.
 
Aurora also volunteers her time as a California FAIR Plan trainer and works closely with carriers on developing new product offerings to help re-engage in the California marketplace. She participates in various carrier agency councils and contributes to special projects aimed at improving market stability.
 
Her current legislative efforts include advocating for the inclusion of reinsurance costs in California property pricing, expanding defensible space programs, growing Firewise communities, and helping to develop a national wildfire insurance framework.
